Fire Awareness Theory

This is an essential course for all staff working within health and social care, regardless of working within accommodation based services as part of a larger team or working independently within the individuals own home lone working. This course introduces participants to the essential information that can help prevent fires in the first place as well as actions to take on discovering a fire.

  • Provides an overview of current fire safety legislation
  • Recognise safety signage
  • Evacuation procedures and what to do when a fire is discovered
  • Classifications of fire and fire extinguishers
  • Participate in the risk assessment process including –
    • Hazard spotting
    • Safety checks


The trainer will carry out an on-going assessment

All delegates will receive a certificate of attendance

The course can be delivered at locations to suit the client or at one of our training venues
