PEG Care

This course provides the essential information for all staff working with and providing care to individuals with a PEG (percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy) it looks as good PEG care as well as wider support needs around nutritional care for the individual.

  • Explain what we mean by nutritional support and parenteral nutrition
  • Overview of the three main types of nutritional support
  • Daily care and support needs of individuals with a PEG
  • Look at the administration of medicines through a PEG including BAPEN guidance
  • Dealing with difficulties and problem solving


The trainer will carry out an on-going assessment

All delegates will receive a certificate of attendance

The course can be delivered at locations to suit the client or at one of our training venues
